"Middle-class Asian applicants face a disadvantage in financial aid and admissions. Wish she'd known earlier about QuestBridge and had more guidance on ECs and school selection. College apps are subjective and difficult at 18 when you don't know who you are yet. Apply in winter is hard with seasonal depression."
