"College admissions is a crapshoot but if your stats are good enough for the top schools, they look to see who would be a great fit or interested in going. Top schools do look for interest/fit to an extent. Well-rounded students with diverse interests and strong academics can succeed. Don't overlook schools outside HYPM - they can be better fits. The process is random but alignment with school culture matters."
