"Stats don't matter as much as essays and ECs. Find interests early and pursue them deeply rather than overloading. Compensate for weak areas (low SAT = high GPA, low both = strong ECs). Don't compare yourself to others. Find your unique characteristic and develop it. Course rigor matters. For NYU: name drop in why essay, don't just talk about NYC, high ACT can offset lower GPA."
